Hello! We are Daddy Long Legs.
We are a skronky three piece pop band from London town. We sing honest songs about growing up in suburbia, getting on the city, and fighting inertia with mental powers. We enjoy harmonising and whooping, and we love to crank it out with our amps on eleven.
We live for playing live and pride ourselves on being twisted, melodious and ferociously tight. We think it's what we do best of all, and we want you to come along and join in the fun. For if you join in, you are part of Daddy Long Legs too, and when YOU get down, Daddy Long Legs gets down.

Friday, September 07, 2007 - LAST GIG FOR A WHILE
"ravenous promotions, one of london’s newest gig collectives (probably not THE newest by now, they’re at it like rabbits these promoters), are putting on their first night on october 11th and daddy long legs will be headlining it, right before the long blondes take some time out from recording their new album to do a nice DJ set.
also appearing will be bobby jefferson, tale of two halves and intimate stranger. doors are at 7pm, it’s 4 quid to get in before 8 and 5 quid after, and thursday IS the new friday. for directions click on these words.
NB: this is likely to be daddy long legs’ last outing for an extended period of time, as we’ve decided to take some time off to concentrate on putting an album together and also to work on some other collaborations. so come down to say bye for a while!”

Tuesday, June 05, 2007 - listening to our songs
since the new recordings were given a quick airing on myspace to great acclaim™, they’ve had a once-over with a child’s toothbrush to bring the volume up a bit and a new EP should be available to buy soon at gigs. sweet.
related to that, a couple of the newest songs will be BACK UP ON MYSPACE soon but obviously a little bit louder than before, so keep an ear out for them…

thanks to the good people of moblog UK, there is now a simple way for you all to send photos from your cameraphones (preferably DLL related, although to be honest as long as it amuses us anything goes really) straight to the internets…
just begin to send an image like you’re sending it to another phone, but then go to “sending options” or equivalent and do “send to email”.. then enter this address:

did you know that the tracks from DLL’s debut double a-side single ("captain aqua/soup") can be downloaded for a matter of pennies? as well as special internet-only bonus track “no radio”?
there’s a handy link to our itunes page at the bottom of this site, and if you’d prefer to support our lovely independent label you can also buy the tracks from sounds experience, effectively cutting out the middle man. a middle man.
